Weather permitting our next walk on Thursday, 18th April is one we have done before. We will go over three mountains Rocky, Tornamore and Pierces Castle. This is not as difficult as it sounds. Most of the climbing will be on a good path up Rocky followed by a pleasant undulating walk to Pierces Castle and then back down a good path to the car park. There is a good hotel in Hilltown for anyone who wants some tea ,coffee etc. Walking poles and boots are necessary.
The next general meeting is our Annual General Meeting and it will be held on the 17th April at 11:00 a.m. in the County Armagh Golf Club. Tea/Coffee and biscuits will be available from around 10:30 a.m.
The general meeting is normally held on the third Wednesday of the month at 11:00 a.m. in the County Armagh Golf Club. The meetings begin with an opportunity for tea/coffee and a catch up, then a short talk on a topic of interest, followed by the business of the meeting, news of group events and associated arrangements.
The main exceptions are in January and July, in January we normally have our New Year’s lunch and in July we take a summer break.
The Loughgall Pod is booked for 9.15 am Thursday, 11th April. I have asked for 11 bicycles. Stuart has kindly agreed to lead the peloton to the Navan Centre for coffee/tea etc. It is a very enjoyable cycle.
